These terms govern use of prnt.li, an inbox.li project operated from Norway. They are written to be short and readable. If a clause here does not match what the service actually does, the service does — and that is worth telling us about.
prnt.li is operated by inbox.li. This is an informal service run by a person or persons, not by a registered company, and it is provided as it is. There is no support desk and no service level agreement. If the machine goes down, it goes down, and nothing in these terms promises you otherwise.
This service is not for criminal use. It is a general file host. It is not intended for, and must not be used to, store or distribute:
This is a service that keeps logs. Do not treat it as anonymous, and do not use it on the assumption that nobody can tell what you did. See section 03.
We record, for each upload, the uploader's IP address, user agent, and the time. For each download we record the requesting IP address, user agent, the time, and whether the request was rate-limited. We do not record the contents of your files, we do not build a profile of you, we do not share data with advertisers, and we run no analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts.
Raw request records are kept for 90 days, then reduced to anonymous daily totals and deleted. Lifetime per-file counters (views, downloads) are kept until the file itself is deleted. Password protection is stored as a salted hash; we cannot read your password back.
Files are stored on a disk in Norway. They are not encrypted at rest, and we can read them. Do not upload anything you would not want us technically able to read.
This service is not directed at children, and it is not intended for use by anyone under 16. Because it is anonymous, with no accounts and no age verification, we cannot know who is using it, and we cannot reliably exclude a child from doing so. That is a reason to refuse a minor's use of it, not to claim we have solved the problem.
If you believe a child has uploaded content that depicts abuse, or is otherwise at risk, contact us immediately at abuse@abuse.li. Reports of this kind are treated as urgent, the content is removed without discussion, and we will cooperate with law enforcement and child-protection authorities as required — including in cases where we would otherwise preserve confidentiality.
We do not knowingly provide this service to children, we do not seek them out as users, and we do not use their data for any purpose beyond operating the service. If we learn that a user is a minor, their uploads and their logs are removed.
You keep whatever rights you already had in what you upload. You grant us the narrow permission needed to operate a file host: store it, serve it back, and delete it when it expires. That permission ends when the file is deleted.
You are responsible for what you upload, including whether you have the right to. We may remove any file, at any time, without notice, and without telling you why. We do not review content in advance.
We will cooperate with competent law-enforcement authorities in Norway and elsewhere, and we will not help hide the location of this service or that of its operator.
Disclosure process. A request must come from a competent authority, in writing, identifying the legal basis and the specific files sought. We will verify what we can reasonably verify. Where the request is vague, overbroad, or from an authority we cannot confirm, we will ask before producing anything. We do not provide bulk access to logs in response to an informal or unverified request, and we do not sell, rent, or trade data with anyone.
Data minimisation. We produce only what is specifically requested. We will tell you, where we are permitted to, that a request was made. We will not proactively hand over unrelated logs merely because a lawful request gave us grounds to produce something.

Because the service has no accounts, we hold no name and no email address for a user, which means a data-subject request can only be answered by reference to an IP address and a timestamp. Anyone with your IP address and an approximate time can therefore make a request about your activity here. That is a consequence of the anonymity the service also offers, and it is not something we can fix without either identifying you or not recording anything.
The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for lost data, lost profit, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including the loss of a file that expired, was deleted, or was removed.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for intentional misconduct, or in respect of a minor's safety.
These terms may change. The version on this page is the one that applies to your use. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the service and your files will expire on their own schedule.
